April 28 is the National Day of Mourning in Canada and Workers Memorial Day in the United States. This day is observed to honour workers that have lost their lives, have been injured or disabled, or have suffered or died from occupational disease as a result of their work. All workplace injuries are preventable and we each have a part to play in creating and sustaining safe workplaces.

We are proud to recognize Earth Day! Part of sustainable forest management means continuously seeking methods to minimize our carbon footprint through renewable energy sources. We strive to use green energy wherever we can, which is why we turn to biomass as fuel. In processing, many of our mills burn bark as fuel, and over half of the direct energy used in our Forest Supply Chain is derived from biomass fuels.
